JMAC WQ Week 9: Flying Turtles and Godzilla

Greetings JMACers,

How ’bout this weather. Like, I shouldn’t always default to talking about the weather in the starter section of the weekly email, but like. this. weather.

Next Meeting: Winter Quarter Week 9

Join us next week for the second-to-last meeting of the "winter" quarter! It will be held on Monday, February 27th from 4-9pm in room 314A of the Lincoln Park Student Center. Next week’s social hour will be a collaborative activity called Flying Turtles!

The weekly showing for the next meeting is the original Godzilla. This science fiction live-action kaiju film is the first film in the Godzilla franchise. When a boat sinks into the sea, survivors who emerge from the wreckage speak of the ancient sea monster, "Godzilla."

And finally, check out our running series for the remainder of the winter quarter GATE.

What’s up JMACers,

While on the red line, I overheard a guy saying that we’re 5 weeks into winter and 5 weeks away from spring. Judging by the sweet Chicagoland weather this weekend, I, too, think it’s not a bad idea to "think spring."

Next Week’s Meeting: Winter Quarter Week 8
Join us for the next JMAC meeting on Monday, February 20th from 4-9pm in room 314A of the Lincoln Park Student Center. Our social hour for the week will be a panel about early Japanese animation, starting at 4pm~
