A Few Reminders

Sendin’ this email a lil bit early as a reminder to join us tonight for Friday Night Movie Night! This event will take place tonight from 6-10pm in Arts & Letters room 203 for dubbed screenings of The Girl Who Leapt through Time and Summer Wars. Popcorn will be provided! :D

An additional reminder to join us for JMAC’s 4th Annual Cosplay Showcase~ It’ll take place on Saturday, October 29th from 12-2pm in Student Center room 314AB.

Do you have an awesome costume or cosplay to show off? (need not be from animanga!) Enter the Cosplay Showcase for a chance to win a $50, $25 or $15-value prize! This year, prizes will also be awarded specifically for performance and craftsmanship. Check the powerpoint for further details. The deadline to enter as a participant is THIS MONDAY, October 24th! :O

Next Week’s Meeting: Fall Quarter Week 7

The next JMAC meeting will be on Monday, October 24th from 4-9pm in room 314B of the Lincoln Park Student Center. Our social hour from 4-5 will be an anime voice over activity!

Afterwards, our weekly showing will be Mononoke. This anime takes place in feudal Japan, where a “Medicine Seller” travels from place to place to slay malevolent spirits. Upon locating a spirit, he must learn its Form, its Truth, and its Reason before wielding the mighty Exorcism Sword.

And lastly, join us to continue our running series From the New World.
