S’up, JMACers,
Happy Monday~ Be sure to make the most out of the week and hope it turns out for the best!
A Few Reminders
Next Monday, January 16th, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Since the university is officially closed, there will be no JMAC meeting next Monday. Instead of a meeting, JMAC will be traveling to Mitsuwa, an authentic Japanese marketplace in Arlington Heights. Meet up at Brownstones at 10:30am, and we’ll head off to commute to Mitsuwa at 11am.
The annual JMAC on Ice and Dim Sum outing is scheduled for Saturday, January 28th! We’ll meet up at Brownstones at 11:30am, head to the Millennium Park skating rink by 12, and head to Chinatown by 4:30pm.
Save the date! JMAC’s annual Voice Actor event will take place on Saturday, February 11th from 12-4pm. Who, exactly, is this year’s voice actor? Check out the announcement post on JMAC’s Facebook!
This Week’s Meeting: Winter Quarter Week 2
Join us today, Monday, January 9th from 4-9pm in room 325 in the Lincoln Park Student Center. We’ll kick off the meeting with a PS4 Party Game Day as our social hour.
Our weekly showing for the meeting will be Mushi-shi. Adapted from an award-winning manga, Mushi are the most basic forms of life in the world, and are capable of mimicking things such as plants, diseases, and other natural phenomena. Ginko ponders and researches "Mushi" and aids the people suffering from problems caused by them.
And lastly, join us for more episodes of our running series Mob Psycho 100.
Last Week’s PowerPoint (Week 1)
Check out the first PowerPoint of the new year online via dropbox!
This week’s slides are themed to the new year! The slides also a superhero/thriller manga for the (half) month of January and a music video from an all-girls band that ventures into bubble-gum-metal-rock-pop territory.
Have a swell week~
