Next Week’s Meeting: Spring Quarter Week 7
The next JMAC meeting will be on Monday, May 8th from 4-9pm in room 314A in the Lincoln Park Student Center. The social hour will be a panel about Sengoku Jidai (“The Age of Warring States”).
Next week’s showing will be Yojimbo. This live action film follows a ronin (masterless samurai) in a small village in feudal Japan, where two rival businessmen struggle to take control of local trade. The ronin convinces the two men to hire him as a personal bodyguard, setting off a full-scale gang war between the two ambitious, unscrupulous men.
And lastly, we will continue to watch the comedic series Nichijou, our running series for the remainder of the quarter.
Last Week’s PowerPoint (Week 6)
The latest JMAC news and more is included in the weekly powerpoint. In honor of Children’s Day in Japan, these slides are themed with children from various anime series.
The slides also feature a NEW manga for the month of May and a music video of the musical guests of honor at this year’s Anime Central.
Stay serene, JMACers,
Sara S.
